Here at the Graceful Hope Foundation (GHF), we believe that everyone deserves to live their best life, and our goal is to help you achieve that. We understand that there is a need for affordable mental health therapy services and without health insurance or the ability to afford our regular fees, it can create many barriers for families and individuals.
GHF has created a financial hardship and sliding fee scale structure for individuals and families who are looking for quality and affordable mental health care. Assistance for mental health services will be provided in one of the following options:
Application Process:
The application process varies based on the payment option the client is applying for.
Duration and Renewal:
Each financial hardship level offers up to six sessions with one of the GHF therapists. Once an applicant has used their set amount of sessions, they will be required to complete a renewal form outlining the need for continued financial services. Based on the level offered previously, there is no guarantee that the same financial hardship level will be offered moving forward. An applicant maybe offered another level based on GHF financial resources. In the event where resources are unavailable, GHF will provide additional outside referrals for applicants who need immediate mental health services.
Cancellation/Termination of Services:
Due to limited financial resources and a waitlist of applicants, it is imperative that all applicants utilize resources provided by showing up to sessions. An applicant that misses two sessions without 24-hour notice to the organization will automatically lose their financial hardship assistance. An applicant may reapply for services after a two-month probation.
Appeals Process:
If applicant has been approved for one of the financial hardships offers and does not find their decision satisfactory, they have the opportunity to go through the GHF appeals process. The applicant is required to contact a GHF Administrator and request an appeal application. Once the application is complete, it will be sent back to the scholarship review committee, along with the founder/CEO for further review. The committee may request an in-person meeting to go over the application and to ask additional questions. Once the process is complete, the applicant will be given a statement as to whether their appeal application has been accepted or denied, along with a statement of reasoning.
